What’s Happening at BCI?

Business Communications, Inc., Takes Part in Southern Farm Bureau Golf Classic

Business Communications, Inc., (BCI) will help hush the crowds at this year’s Southern Farm Bureau Golf Classic, Mississippi's only PGA Tour event. The tournament is scheduled for September 25 - October 1 at Annandale Golf Club, a 7,199-yard course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Top players from the PGA Tour, including former major winners David Duval, Shawn Micheel and Mark Brooks, as well as John Cook, John Huston, Shigeki Maruyama, Rocco Mediate, Carl Pettersson, Joey Sindelar, Jeff Sluman and Steve Stricker, are expected to be among the field competing for part of the $3 million purse.

BCI has, through various sponsorship capacities, participated in this PGA Tour event since its inception. “At BCI, we believe in giving back to the community,” explains Tony Bailey, CEO. “The Mississippi business community has been so good to us over the years, and we see it as part of our corporate responsibility to give back and support charity work such as this. We know that the combined strength of all those who participate in and sponsor this Golf Classic will be felt across the entire state of Mississippi.”

When it awarded $388,000 to several local charities in 2005, the Southern Farm Bureau Classic surpassed $3.9 million in charitable contributions since its inception as a PGA Tour stop. “The Southern Farm Bureau Classic is well known among the PGA Tour circle for being a strong community event,” said Robert Morgan, Executive Director of Century Club Charities.
